We are now accepting reservations at Camp Salmen and the Trace for events, parties, reunions, etc.

There are three pavilions available for rent at Camp Salmen Nature Park. To rent one of these pavilions, call 985.867.9490. To learn more about special events hosted by Camp Salmen, look no further than here.

Pavilion rental: The pavilion located at Camp Salmen Nature Park is available to rent at a rate of $75.00 an hour. A minimum rental period of two hours is required. Additional terms and conditions are to be set forth in a user agreement which must be completed prior to the event. The parish will determine appropriate limits of insurance for the specific use of the pavilion, all to be determined the parish risk manager. Proof of the required insurance must be produced prior to any event utilizing the pavilion.

In addition to the venues below, we also have five uncovered picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds.

Main Pavilion The main pavilion at Camp Salmen features ceiling fans, 8 picnic tables (2  are handicap accessible) and is adjacent to the playground. This pavilion is covered and has the park's only restrooms attached.  *Can accommodate larger groups.
2 Small Pavilions (Lodge & Water Tower) These smaller pavilions are both located near large open, grassy areas. Both feature two picnic tables and are covered. The Lodge Pavilion also has a small bench.
Amphitheater The amphitheater at Camp Salmen is an ideal venue for small ceremonies —weddings, scouts, and awards. Set on the banks of Bayou Liberty, this intimate venue can hold up to 125 people and is a serene and picturesque location for various types of events for groups in smaller numbers. The amphitheater is also ADA compliant.
